Sewer Check – Is your sewer line in good health?

Across America homes built in an era when inadequate materials were used in sewer system construction are begining to have sewer line failures. The life of these materials (Asbestos Cement, Clay and Orangeburg pipes) has expired, and below ground, your plumbing may be leaking!  The symptoms of a failing sewerline are often undetectable until it is too late.Your sewerline is the main pathway between your house and the County’s system.  Sewerline failures are messy and expensive.  Toilets, sinks, and showers overflow with harmful black wastewater, and can ruin your carpet or hardwood floors costing thousands to repair.  A video camera inspection is the only way to ensure your home’s sewerline is in good working order.

This is a preventive action you can feel good about taking.Call now to schedule a free video camera inspection and I will personally come to your home, camera your sewerline and explain the benefits of the US Trenchless system. ($200.00 value)  Call 1-877-916-PIPE

We can inspect residential single family and multi family sewer pipes 2” inside diameter up to 8” accurately for free. We can make a DVD with voice narration of all inspections when requested prior to appointment for a small fee.

Did you get a sewer inspection on the last deal you did? If not you may have left your client with a $5,000.00 nightmare that could have been avoided. Almost 21, 000 homes were sold in the greater Sacramento area last year. Of those homes sold nearly 12% were subject to sewer problems within the first year. Most realtors and their clients rely on the test standards used by home inspectors. These tests simply do not qualify the pipe’s condition, leaving the transaction blind to potential problems, which could cost thousands to fix.

Sewer lines have been causing grief for a long time. The rooter or snake machine used to unclog drains by removing roots came about in an era when pipes failed because of their design. Now new pipe design has eliminated the root problem completely making the plumbers snake nothing more than a relic of yesteryear, well that is unless your sewer is from yesteryear. Sewer lines for the homes built in the Sacramento area starting in the early 1900’s through the late 1970’s were installed using ridiculous material. Most people have heard of Orangeburg but let me tell you it is no pipe; it is really more like a piñata shaped like a pipe covered in tar. Orangeburg, Vitrified Clay and Asbestos Cement pipes were the norm for sewer lines because they were cheaper to make than Cast Iron. In fact during the world war’s, cast iron was rationed relegating the use of the cheap stuff to all sewer lines.

To find out if a sewer line is old and in need of repair, US Trenchless uses a high tech fiber optic digital inspection camera, which goes down into the pipes interior and sends an image back to a monitor above ground. We can determine not only the condition of the pipe but we can also get valuable information like the location, depth and direction of the pipe, all without digging. Once the pipe has been inspected the element of surprise has been eliminated and if the pipe needs to be replaced then US Trenchless can perform the work fast and by using trenchless technology we can do it without digging, saving thousands of dollars, a lot of time and a huge mess is avoided. It’s time to address sewer problems the smart way. Stop hiding from the unknown and allow US Trenchless to perform your next sewer inspection.
